Commuting is a distance a student can travel daily either using the public transit system or a personal vehicle. Public transit system means regular daily bus service (ie. Child Care Subsidy

If you have child care costs for preschool children, you may not be aware that all eligible Albertans may qualify for the Child Care Subsidy Program.  Click on the link to get complete information about the Child Care Subsidy or to try the Estimator.

Maximum Loan Increased

Students may be eligible to a maximum amount per academic year, Alberta Student Loan and Canada Student Loan combined.  The maximum loan limit for the 2007-2008 academic year is $13,000.  Any student qualifying for grants or government bursaries may receive those as well as the loan maximum.  If studying for only one semester, all loan and grant maximums are half the amount.
