Apprentice Scholarships Deadline Extended
The deadline for apprentices to submit Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP) Scholarship applications and Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AIT) Scholarship applications has been extended from June 30 to July 15, 2008. Click here for more RAP or AIT Scholarship information.
Alexander Rutherford Scholarship
Effective April 1, 2008, the Alexander Rutherford Scholarship has been expanded to offer scholarships to students with an average of 75.0% to 79.9%. Award value is: Grade 10 - $300, Grade 11 - $500 and Grade 12 - $700. The course requirement will remain the same as for the current Rutherford scholarship. Students who graduated from high school before April 1, 2008, should check the website for course requirements and value of the scholarship.
Rutherford Scholar Scholarship
As of April 1, 2008, the scholarship will have a value of $2,500 up from $1,500. The top ten Grade 12 high school graduates are selected to receive a Rutherford Scholar Scholarship. Recipients are selected from applications for an Alexander Rutherford Scholarship.
